After receiving a degree in Computer Science from Western Washington University, Marcus got his start as a Developer with Swype in 2010. With Chris, he invented internal Swype build configuration technology using a web framework which allowed Swype to easily scale from a few devices to tens of thousands. Seeing how valuable this was internally, he then built an external version which allows partners to configure millions of builds on the fly for their devices. Most recently, he worked on the large scale Swype Connect server project, which services millions of devices. Marcus currently lives on Mercer Island with his wife Katie and their son Blake.
