People ask us a lot of questions. They want to know why we would ever leave a large well-funded startup or companies where we enjoyed free food or (at least) free checking?
Our answer is simple. The only reason you ever leave a great job is to take one that promises to be even better. Now instead of getting to work for one great company, we have the opportunity to work with a bunch of great companies.
Our team has come together because we hold common goals and commitments. Although each one of us claims a different skill set, we share an interest in working with smart people - experts in their fields, in fact - who are doing exciting, invigorating work.
So as we leave the cushy ranks of the salaried employees to wander in the wilderness of bootstrapping startups, we ask you to come along with us. If you happen to know of individuals or businesses who could benefit from our services, please feel free to point them in our direction. We will be happy to help.
Thanks,
Tommy Unger, Bill Nordwall, Mike McDevitt

Team Foundry. Interesting, the concept of the foundry — and now, your founding. I can recall something about my first time in being exposed to a foundry. Heat. The anvil. The quenching fire of the cooling tank. All good metaphors for what you are exploring, developing, building on. And there’s beauty and craftsmanship in the concept of the foundry, the forging, the hot steel of new ideas and ideals — being shaped into objects of wonder and beauty.
Congrats team. Looking forward to watching your projects grow, to explore working together and to hammer out something bright and beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing the sparks fly!
All the best —
